"Life is an adventure and I am just living in it!" Two things I love: photography and traveling.

Art! At times I try to be creative with my photos. My eye is still learning…..

Portraits!! I love photographing people. A picture captures the moment and freezes it forever. Looking back through old pictures always evokes a memory, good/bad, happy/sad, there is some emotion related to every picture. I love looking through old family pictures and having my mom/dad/grandma explain the time, situation etc, it allows you to see a small light into their life.

Flowers! Flowers! Flowers! Beauty at its finest! The bright colors capture the eye and the soft delicate petals embrace the beauty. Each flower is unique and different. Photographing flowers will never get old!

ARUBA!!!! I <3 Aruba, One Happy Island. Eric and I have the privilege of spending a week in Aruba for our honeymoon. The sand was soft, the ocean was warm and the sun was non stop. It was the perfect vacation. We paddle boarded, walked the beach, swam in the pool, laid in the sun, floated on rafts in the ocean, ate delicious food, explored to the North Shore and all in all had a FANTASTIC time!!! I would recommend it to anyone that loves warm weather and the beach!!!

Welcome to Michigan! Northern Michigan is a state of its own and like no other. There is so much to offer, lakes lakes and more lakes. Lake Michigan is so large it falls off the horizion. The west side of the state also offers some of the best sunsets I have ever seen, not to mention the fresh water beaches and soft sand. The little towns are the best as well with local restaurants and ice-cream shops. My favorite is Fish Town near Lake Lelanau. Be sure and stop by and see the Sleepy Bear Dunes too! If you don’t feel like hiking the sand dunes drive through Pierce Stocking, a scenic drive through with stops off photo opportunities. I could go on and on about Northern Michigan and a list of places to see… Mackinaw Bridge, Traverse City, Sleepy Bear Dunes, etc. Find a cabin and explore, just know it is a little chilly up there until about June and the warm lasts until about September, then early October brings the fall colors and those are not to be missed either! :)

Montserrat, Barcelona, Spain. Montserrat is quit a little train ride outside of the city, but worth the ride. Take the train North of the city about an hour. Then take the sky cart up the side of the mountain and arrive at Benedictine Monk Mountain Retreat. This area is not only surreal itself but you will also have spectacular mountain views of Catalunya. You can see for miles, make sure and have your camera in hand for this adventure. Also note that you can pay for a headset for a self guided tour. Montserrat is a bit pricey itself, but you will never see anything like it anywhere else. *If you are lucky, you may just see a real monk for this is still an active monastery.

Garden of the Gods! I could go on and on about how much I love Colorado and how the natural beauty is outstanding. This one focuses on a road trip I took to Colorado Spring. You must stop by and see Garden of the Gods. It is a fantastic example of how rocks can be beautiful. It is free to the public and you are able to drive up to them, park and walk on the paths. Give yourself a couple of hours to just admire the beauty and natural scenery. Also if you are lucky you may just run into a man playing his bagpipes at the top of the one of the rocks that radiates into the rest of the park below. It was a special treat. (ps if you are a beautiful girl, he may hit on you and ask you out.. just a note from experience :)

A little Laguna on a beautiful May day! This is my second trip to California. This area is beautiful and I would recommend going to the Laguna Beach in front of the Montage hotel. They have a beautiful outdoor area, open to the public (you do have to pay for parking though, bring some change for the meters). After you walk along the sidewalks surrounded with beautiful flowers make sure and stop by the Montage for dinner! It was probably the BEST food I have ever had and wonderful service as we sat on the balcony over looking the Pacific. It was PERFECT!!! (A bit pricey, but totally worth it!)

“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.” C. S. Lewis

The following goals were comprised with the 4 best girls in my life.. all done with a hope and goal of changing ourselves from the inside out with God’s strength to be more like Jesus! :)

1. No complaining, pray instead.

2. Pour into others.

3. Memorize scripture.

4. Be informed of world event, and pray for world leaders.

Verse for 2011-

Philippians 2:14-16

Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of god about reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among who you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain!
