“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.” C. S. Lewis
The following goals were comprised with the 4 best girls in my life.. all done with a hope and goal of changing ourselves from the inside out with God’s strength to be more like Jesus! :)
1. No complaining, pray instead.
2. Pour into others.
3. Memorize scripture.
4. Be informed of world event, and pray for world leaders.
Verse for 2011-
Philippians 2:14-16
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of god about reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among who you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain!

I was reading Philippians 3 today and overwhelmed by the severity and weight of Paul’s words.
“put no confidence in the flesh”
“although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more.. verse 7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ and my be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, that I may know HIm and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
“not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not reguard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and reachign forward to what lies ahead. i press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therfore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude and if anythign you have different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained. Brethren, join in following my example, and ovserve those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.”
“for our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that he has ever to subject all things to Himself.
-words too good to even add my own thoughts.
I love listening to it rain!
There is something awesome about the thunder and the rain that make the perfect noise maker for sleeping!
Last night was just that, the perfect night for sleeping! :)
Fall is an ironic time of year. There is beauty in the death of nature.
The vibrant colors and falling leaves bring delight to my eyes.
I snuggle close to campfires, with hoddies and blankets, enjoying the cool, crisp, yet refreshing fall nights.
The moon shines as though it was day light and as I sip on my warm chai latte as I wish upon a shooting star.
I eat candy corn and carmel apples.
I go to arts and apples festivals and dip cinnamon covered donuts in my freshly processed cider.
I stop at colorful trees just to take a pictures.
I watch my puppy chase the leaves as though she has an endless supply of new toys every time one falls. Pure happiness is all she wrote.
I love fall. :)
p.s. today is the last day of summer…
